JOE
COX, 76, of Houston, died Thursday, December 18, 2003. He was an avid
Breeder and Racer of Homing Pigeons for 45 years. He was owner of Market
Street Feed for 42 years. Joe served in the United States Navy during
World War II and was the son of Roy and Mary "Billie" Cox. He was known
and loved by many for his gentle spirit and wisdom. Joe will be missed by
many beyond his survivors. Joe is survived by his daughters, Carolyn
Berner and husband, Arthur, and Marsha Alexander and husband, Marcus;
brother, Clodis Cox and wife, Audrey; grandchildren: Christina Rinyu, Sara
Berner, Katherine Alexander and Parker Alexander; two nieces and a host of
loving friends. The family would like to express special thanks to Alba
Monjarez for her tender loving care. A memorial service will be held at
7:00 P.M. on Monday, December 22, 2003 in the Chapel of Howard-Glendale
Funeral Home, 1015 Federal Road, with Dr. Marcus Alexander officiating.
